Introduction
Sous-Vide Records is a small Norwegian vinyl & self releasing imprint focused on the grooves of minimalism. Our vision is to build a sustainable, timeless portfolio of both rising stars and established talent who are, like us, fueled by genuine passion for music.
Our name is inspired by the technique of preparing food “sous-vide”; a French innovation from the 18th century which revolutionized the world of cooking forever. It dramatically increased the control over temperature and pressure by vacuum sealing the food,, allowing for higher precision than had ever been possible before. This enabled uncompromising chefs to consistently deliver the same, delicious taste with every single dish. For this reason it appeals to those who truly love their craft and those who will not settle for mediocrity.
We believe that this way of thinking is what has made French cuisine renowned around the world, and has inspired food lovers everywhere to strive for perfection. We seek to spread the same inspiration and creative fuel to music enthusiasts everywhere.

Western society, although rich and prosperous in many ways, is in dire need of one thing: genuine human connection. In today’s high octane world where everyone seems to be headed somewhere in a hurry, many people are simply forgotten and overlooked. One of our core beliefs is that every human being deserves to be seen and treated with respect.
The power of music is immense – it can instantly connect complete strangers and touch our emotions in different ways, and for many it is a source of healing and self-empowerment. Family
Around three years ago, our founder Thomas Skjærstad started dreaming of building a home and a family of like-minded individuals sharing the same love and passion for music. Soon after, the concept behind Sous-Vide Records was born, but he decided to put the project on hold until he found the right partners to build it with.
A couple of years later Thomas connected with the prominent Norwegian producer and sound engineer Dolbah. It quickly became apparent they shared the same philosophy behind the music, which reignited the fire behind Sous-Vide Records once again.
Today our little imprint consists of 4 hard-working and passionate souls who share the same vision. We are working continuously on building a sustainable platform piece by piece, connecting with good people along the way while sharing our story with the world. Every person and artist we meet can teach us something, and hopefully they can learn something from us in return. Mutual growth and connection is the fundamental idea that drives us.
